The Old Walkway

gouache on paper, 11 x 19 inches, 1999 private collection This is the walkway of the Williamsburg Bridge as it was in the late 90's before its renovation. It was in sorry shape, quite rusty and picturesque. It was later relpaced by a rather sterile red cage walkway devoid of character.
